Admission Policy

Admission Policy

We strictly admit students and pupils based on our school policy and at the professional discretion of the Principal especially in cases where the child’s age falls a few days below the cut-off age.

Admission Criteria

Admission into Year 7 (JSS1) is based on the candidate's success at the Blessed Martins International entrance examination. All candidates seeking admission into Year 7 must be at least 10 years old by September of the desired year of entry.

The subject areas for the entrance examination are English language, mathematics and Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4).

Blessed Martins International School also admits into years 8, 9 &10. Admission is offered upon success at the Blessed Martins International transfer examination and the availability of space in the candidate’s desired year of entry, otherwise the candidate is placed on a wait list.

Admission is decided through competitive entrance examination, both written and oral.

Registration & Admission Proceedings

We begin the registration of new students in January. The registration and admission exercise continues up until September. From September to December is considered late registration, subject of course to available vacancies for intake.

A parent or guardian carries out registration and admission of every pupil. This commences after the original copy of the pupil’s Birth Certificate had been presented. The parent or guardian proceeds to obtain forms and prospectus from the Head Mistress’ Office.

A written interview test of the pupil is scheduled and carried out and those who pass this test will be admitted on merit.
